Orbea
Orbea is a genus of succulent Asclepiads in the family Apocynaceae, native primarily to arid and semi-arid regions of Africa and the Arabian Peninsula. Plants form clusters of fleshy, angular, often toothed stems and are especially valued for their remarkable star-shaped flowers. Blooms display intricate combinations of cream, yellow, burgundy, red, and purple, frequently with spots, bands, or textured surfaces. Many species use scent and elaborate floral structures to attract flies as pollinators. Orbea thrive in warm, bright conditions with excellent drainage and are excellent choices for collectors of unusual succulents and stapeliads.
