Origin and Habitat
Echeveria Hybrid 'Pink Edge' is a cultivated hybrid derived from Mexican Echeveria species that naturally inhabit rocky slopes and mountain outcrops with excellent drainage. Like its parent species, this hybrid thrives in sunny, dry conditions where its thick leaves store moisture during periods of drought. Selected for its attractive pink leaf margins and symmetrical growth habit, it has become a favourite among succulent enthusiasts and collectors.
Description
Echeveria Hybrid 'Pink Edge' forms elegant rosettes growing 4–6 inches (10–15 cm) tall and 6–8 inches (15–20 cm) wide. Thick blue-green to silvery leaves are highlighted by vivid pink margins that become increasingly colourful when grown in bright light and cooler temperatures. Mature plants produce slender flower stalks with bell-shaped coral-pink flowers during spring and summer. Its colourful foliage and compact habit make it an excellent feature for containers, mixed succulent arrangements, and rock gardens.

Growth Rate: Moderate.
Soil: Use a well-drained cactus soil containing pumice, coarse mineral aggregate, and organic matter. Avoid poorly drained soils.
Watering: Allow the soil to dry completely between waterings. Reduce watering during winter dormancy.
Fertilizing: Feed every 2–3 weeks during active growth with a balanced fertilizer diluted to half strength.
Light: Full sun to bright indirect light. Bright sunlight produces the richest pink leaf margins.
Pests and Diseases: Generally resistant to pests but may occasionally develop mealybugs or aphids. Excess moisture may cause root rot.
