Origin and Habitat:
Pachypodium succulentum is native to South Africa, where it thrives in arid and semi-arid regions. It is commonly found in rocky hillsides and grasslands, often blending with its surroundings to avoid herbivores. This caudiciform plant has adapted to survive prolonged droughts and high temperatures, making it a hardy addition to xeriscapes.

Description:
This deciduous caudiciform succulent can grow up to 12 inches tall with a bulbous, woody caudex that stores water. Its slender, spiny branches bear narrow, green leaves during the growing season. In late spring to early summer, it produces small, tubular flowers in shades of pink to magenta with a yellow throat, adding a vibrant contrast to its rugged structure.
