Pot Size: 2.5", 3.5"
Accepted Scientific Name: Graptoveria ‘Opalina’
Origin and Habitat:
Graptoveria ‘Opalina’ is a hybrid between Graptopetalum amethystinum and Echeveria colorata, created for ornamental cultivation rather than from a natural habitat. Its parent species originate from the arid highlands of Mexico, where they thrive on rocky slopes and cliffs with excellent drainage, abundant sunlight, and minimal rainfall. This hybrid inherits their drought tolerance and preference for bright, dry conditions.
Description:
This compact, rosette-forming succulent grows 6–8 inches tall and 6–10 inches wide. The leaves are thick, smooth, and pastel blue-green with a pinkish blush along the edges, intensifying under full sun. In spring, it produces slender flower stalks topped with clusters of small, yellow-orange, bell-shaped flowers that contrast beautifully against the cool-toned foliage.
