Description:
A striking succulent shrub, Pachypodium rosulatum features a thick, bottle-shaped caudex that can reach up to 12 inches (30 cm) in diameter. From its swollen base, slender, spiny branches emerge, reaching heights of up to 24 inches (60 cm). The plant produces rosettes of narrow, green leaves and vibrant, trumpet-shaped yellow flowers in spring and summer.
