Pot Size: 4.5"

Accepted Scientific Name: Heuchera ‘Northern Exposure Sienna’

Origin and Habitat:
This cultivar is a hybrid selection from cold-tolerant North American Heuchera species adapted to woodland margins and rocky, well-drained sites. These natural habitats provide consistent moisture, organic soils, and seasonal fluctuations that contribute to strong plant resilience. As part of the Northern Exposure series, it was bred for improved hardiness, reliable performance, and distinctive warm-toned foliage suited to cooler climates.

Description:
Forms a compact, mounded clump reaching approximately 10–12 inches tall and 16–20 inches wide. The leaves are rounded and softly lobed, displaying rich sienna, copper, and bronze tones that shift subtly with temperature and light levels. The foliage has a smooth texture with a slight sheen, adding depth to plantings. In early summer, airy stems rise above the foliage bearing small, creamy white bell-shaped flowers that add contrast and attract pollinators.

Cultivation:
Zone: 4–9
Temperature: -34°C to 30°C
Growth rate: Moderate, forming uniform clumps
Soil: Well-drained soil enriched with organic matter and pumice for aeration

Fertilizing: Apply balanced liquid fertilizer every 2–3 weeks during the growing season

Pests and diseases: Generally resistant; ensure good drainage to prevent root or crown issues

Propagation:
Divide mature clumps in spring or fall, ensuring each section has viable roots and shoots before replanting.
