Origin and Habitat:
Epiphyllum hybrids originate from tropical regions of Central and South America, where parent species grow as epiphytes in tree canopies. These habitats provide warm temperatures, filtered light, and high humidity with excellent air movement. ‘Aequator’ is a cultivated hybrid selected for its vivid flower coloration and reliable blooming, performing best in conditions that mimic shaded forest environments.
