This cactus thrives in rocky limestone soils at elevations ranging from 3,300 to 6,600 feet (1,000–2,000 meters) above sea level. Its natural habitat is characterized by low rainfall, intense sunlight, and well-drained conditions.
Description:
This small, globular cactus typically grows up to 4 inches (10 cm) in diameter and 6 inches (15 cm) tall. It features numerous narrow, undulating ribs with prominent areoles that bear fine radial spines. The flowers are funnel-shaped, appearing in shades of pale pink to lavender with darker purple midlines, creating a striking contrast against the cactus's green body.
