Pot Size: 3.5"
Accepted Scientific Name:
Sedum 'Lime Zinger'
Origin and Habitat:
Sedum 'Lime Zinger' is a cultivated hybrid developed for ornamental use, with parentage rooted in species native to rocky hillsides and grasslands of Asia and Europe. These species are adapted to harsh, dry environments with excellent drainage, full sun, and poor soils. Selected for its compact growth and vibrant foliage, 'Lime Zinger' is ideal for modern garden design, especially in containers, green roofs, and drought-tolerant landscapes. It performs well in temperate climates with seasonal variation and limited water availability.
Description:
Sedum 'Lime Zinger' is a compact, mat-forming perennial that grows 4–6 inches tall and spreads up to 18 inches. Its fleshy, lime-green leaves are edged with a vibrant red margin, creating colorful foliage interest from spring through fall. In late summer to early fall, clusters of small, pink star-shaped flowers emerge, attracting bees and butterflies. The plant maintains a neat, low-growing habit and is perfect for edging, rock gardens, and containers.
