Echeveria gibbiflora hybrid 'Coral Reef Pink'
Origin and Habitat:
This hybrid is a selection from Echeveria gibbiflora, a species native to Mexico that thrives in dry, rocky terrains with well-draining soil. Echeveria gibbiflora is one of the largest Echeveria species, known for its sculptural rosettes and unique wavy leaves. The 'Coral Reef Pink' variety has been specifically bred for its soft pink hues and ruffled leaf edges, resembling ocean coral. It thrives in warm, arid conditions and develops its best color when exposed to bright light.
Description:
Echeveria gibbiflora hybrid 'Coral Reef Pink' forms a dramatic rosette up to 12 inches (30 cm) in diameter. The large, wavy leaves feature a gradient of pink and lavender tones with powdery blue undertones. The edges of the leaves are deeply ruffled, enhancing its coral-like appearance. In late summer to fall, it produces tall, arching flower stalks up to 24 inches (60 cm) high, adorned with clusters of pink-orange, bell-shaped flowers that attract pollinators.
