Origin and Habitat:
Native to Jalisco, Mexico, Agave tequilana var. azul grows in semi-arid regions on volcanic soils between 3,500 and 6,500 feet in elevation. The species thrives in regions with warm days, cool nights, and seasonal rainfall. It is notably cultivated for tequila production, symbolizing Mexico’s highland agave fields.

Description:
This fast-growing agave reaches 4–6 feet tall and 5–8 feet wide, forming elegant, upright rosettes of blue-gray leaves with fine serrated edges. Mature plants produce towering flower spikes up to 20 feet tall, bearing yellow-green blossoms before the rosette dies back post-flowering.
