Accepted Scientific Name: Tylecodon pygmaeus

Origin and Habitat:
Tylecodon pygmaeus is native to South Africa, specifically the Namaqualand region, where it thrives in arid, rocky environments. This miniature succulent is well-adapted to survive in areas with minimal rainfall, high temperatures, and nutrient-poor soils. It is commonly found growing among rocks and gravel, blending into its surroundings to avoid herbivores.

Description:
This dwarf succulent reaches about 10 inches in height, forming small clusters of fleshy, green, and cylindrical stems. These stems sprout succulent leaves and will produce a caudix in time.  Its compact size and unique growth habit make it ideal for small spaces or rock gardens. In its blooming season, Tylecodon pygmaeus produces tiny, tubular flowers in pale pink or white, adding subtle charm to its appearance.
