Trichocereus
Trichocereus is a stunning genus of columnar cacti, renowned for its tall, majestic growth, vibrant flowers, and ornamental appeal. Native to South America, these versatile cacti thrive in both outdoor gardens in frost free climates, and indoor collections. Some species can become true giants reaching up to 30' high with an annual growth of 12" if given the right conditions. Many species will flower with age and reward you with an incredible show. Taxonomists now include Trichoceus in Echinopsis genius but with such large columnar cacti being placed with small growing barrels there is still much confusion. Even still these plants have a place in every collection.
