Gasteria
This interesting family of 75 species and many more cultivars is widely collected and enjoyed by collectors and amateurs alike. Gasteria are an easy to grow and present no difficulties in cultivation. They are shade plants and do not like strong sun, but enjoy some morning light. This makes them particularly adaptable to indoor cultivation. These South African natives are very drought tolerant and like a dry winter. With the many species and number of variegated cultivars this is a group of plants worth growing.
