Semponium 'Vortex' is a hybrid creation combining the traits of Sempervivum and Aeonium. Developed through cultivated hybridization, it is prized for its dynamic rosette patterns and vibrant colors. This hybrid thrives in well-drained soils and is highly adaptable to both indoor and outdoor environments, making it a favorite among succulent enthusiasts.

Description:
Semponium 'Vortex' forms large rosettes measuring 6-8 inches in diameter and an overall hieght of 12", with spiraled, overlapping leaves that create a dynamic and eye-catching effect. The leaves transition from bright green to deep burgundy, especially under bright light. During its blooming phase, the plant produces delicate, star-shaped yellow flowers on tall, elegant stems, adding a touch of contrast to its bold foliage.

Cultivation:
Zone: Suitable for USDA zones 9-11.
Temperature: Prefers a temperature range of 5°C to 30°C.  Hardiness unknown at this time but can probably tolerate light freezing -3°C.
Growth Rate: Moderate.
Soil: Requires well-draining soil with pumice for improved aeration.
Watering: Water thoroughly when the soil is dry, avoiding waterlogged conditions to prevent root rot.
