Description:
Mammillaria backebergiana is a cylindrical cactus that typically grows up to 12 inches tall and 2 inches in diameter, and will create colonies in time. The plant features densely packed tubercles with spines that vary from golden yellow to brown. It produces small, funnel-shaped flowers in shades of pink to magenta, often forming a ring near the top of the stem.
