Manfeda is a genus of plants that are closely related to Agave. The main difference is that some are deciduous and that they do not die after flowering. Having said this there is much back in forth by taxonomists to have them lump them in with Agaves or not. Manfreda are found in much of the southern USA and Mexico. Many cultivars have been create and are high desirable for their wavy leaf edges and spotted coloration. In addition to their attractive leaves Manfreda are fast growing plants and can easily make a nice potted specimen in a few years.
